Welcome!
We are a family of 3 humans, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and countless chickens, homesteading on almost 26 acres in the Cherokee National Forests of Eastern Tennessee. In our former lives, Stephanie worked as an educator, and Dustin worked in web development. In our current lives, we do these things as well as working to create a homestead.
We both grew up living the “typical modern American life” – eating fast food, going to public schools, watching endless hours of tv, and relying on Western medicine. In our early thirties, we found ourselves ill, stressed, overwhelmed, and trapped living in a way that didn’t align with our values.
We decided we wanted a different life for our family, and knew we needed to make some major changes. Gradually, we began eating traditional foods, home educating, getting into nature more, and creating home remedies. We found such success, that once we started, we haven’t looked back.
It turned out, taking full responsibility for our own freedom ended up being the key to our health and happiness.
It has been a decade long adventure to get to where we are now. After “homesteading without a homestead” for several years, we purchased raw land and are learning how to use regenerative methods to grow our own food, as we build the homestead of our dreams.
We are constantly – and imperfectly – striving to lead a free, simple & sovereign life by living in harmony with God’s Creation & Design. To us, this is an In Harmony Life… and we’d love to share it with you!
